joyfully invite you to celebrate their marriage
on the Amalfi Coast
Villa Rondinella
Via Cristoforo Colombo, Positano
Aperitivo, dinner and dancing on the terrace to follow

Aperol spritz and lemon granita on the terrace of Hotel Poseidon, from seven.
Ceremony under the lemon pergola at five, then dinner and dancing at Villa Rondinella.
Boats leave Spiaggia Grande at eleven for swimming and a long lunch at Da Adolfo.

A missed ferry, a London flat with no view at all, and a ring hidden in a basket of lemons. This is how we found our way back to the coast where it all began.
We both missed the last boat back to Positano and spent three hours on the harbour wall sharing a bag of lemon sweets. A fisherman took pity on us at midnight.
Daniel learned to make Nonna Lucia's ragù; Francesca learned to love the rain. We hung a blue tile by the door so it felt like home.
A walk up through the lemon terraces, a picnic, and a ring tucked into a basket of lemons. She said yes before he had finished asking.

Saturday, 4 September 2027, at Villa Rondinella: a lemon-terraced garden two hundred steps above Positano's beach. Here is how the day will unfold.

Lemonade, shade and a string trio on the upper terrace.
Under the lemon pergola, looking out to sea.

Aperol spritz, mozzarella and the sunset.
One long table on the terrace, speeches between courses.

Torta al limone, then the band.
A last toast, then shuttles to Piazza dei Mulini.

Linen suits, summer dresses, bright colours and prints: think Positano in September. It stays warm late into the evening, and the terrace catches a sea breeze after dark, so bring a wrap.
Positano is a town of stairs. Wear flat sandals or block heels and leave the stilettos at home.

Positano clings to the cliffs halfway along the Amalfi Coast. It takes a little planning to reach, which is half its charm. Here is how to get here and where to sleep.
Naples is the closest airport. Our shuttle meets the 1pm and 4pm arrivals on Friday; the drive takes about 90 minutes.
From Salerno or Amalfi, ferries run to Positano several times a day. Arriving by sea is the most beautiful way in.
The Amalfi Drive is stunning but narrow, and parking is about €50 a day. We would leave the car behind.
We have held rooms at three favourites, all a short walk (or a few hundred steps) from the villa. Mention Romano-Whitaker when you book.
Family-run, with a pool terrace and the best breakfast in town. Rooms held until 1 May.
An 18th-century palazzo with a courtyard garden, right by Santa Maria Assunta.
Bright blue-and-white rooms and a rooftop pool high above the bay.

Tell us if you can make it, and about any allergies or dietary needs.
Good to know: the questions our friends have already asked us.

Yes, Positano is a town of stairs. Wear flat shoes, and tell us if you would like a ride in the villa's golf cart.
We love your little ones, but this is an adults-only day (with one exception: our flower girl, Sofia).
Around 27°C by day and cooler on the terrace after dark. Bring a wrap.
Cards work almost everywhere; keep a few euros for buses, boats and gelato.
Your invitation names everyone we have saved a seat for.
Our planner, Valentina: ciao@valentinaeventi.it

Your being here, after a flight, a ferry and a few hundred steps, is the gift. If you would like to give something more, we are saving for a week sailing the Aeolian Islands.
